What we collect

The selfie and the photos you add.
Photos of other people that you add.
The text you write.
The stories, chats and pictures that Afterplay makes for you.
A device credential. It lets our server know which data is yours.
Crash and performance reports from your device.
Usage events, such as the taps you make during setup. They are on by default; turn off "Share usage data" in Settings to stop them.
Reports you send about a message, picture or person.
A short code made from your network address. We use it only to stop abuse. We delete it after two days.

We use it to make your pictures and stories. We use crash reports to fix problems. We use reports to remove harmful content.

Railway hosts our server and stores the data.
OpenRouter is our AI gateway. It sends your photos and text to AI model providers.
AI model providers that OpenRouter routes to make the text and pictures. OpenAI makes the pictures.
Ideogram edits your picture when you ask for an edit. It gets that picture and the words you typed. We send it nothing else.
ElevenLabs reads a message aloud when you ask for it. It gets the text of that message. We send it nothing else.
fal runs the same ElevenLabs voice and sound models when ElevenLabs is not available. It gets the same text and nothing else.
TypeSafe reads a remix you type (/remix) to make a quick change to a Vibe. It gets the words you typed, the names of the people in that Vibe and the settings it can change. We send it nothing else, and nothing that names you.

We ask OpenRouter to use only providers that do not keep or train on your data.

We keep your data until you delete it. Pictures that are not tied to an account are deleted after 30 days.

Open Settings and choose Delete All Data. This deletes the data on your phone and on our server.

Afterplay is for adults, 18 and older. We refuse photos of people who may be under 18.
